Ryan the Vet assistant

Veterinary Assistant

Ryan grew up in Orlando, Florida. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served a tour in Iraq before receiving a medical discharge in 2004. After returning home, Ryan pursued an Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts and spent several years working in the culinary field before discovering his true passion—veterinary medicine.

Ryan went on to attend Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology, where he earned his Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology in 2015. His path into the veterinary field is deeply personal. Animals have played an important role in helping him manage PTSD from his time in the Army, and working in veterinary medicine is his way of giving back to the animals that have given him so much comfort and support.

Ryan recently relocated to Seattle from Denver and is excited to be part of the team at Pet Care Center at Luna Park. He is passionate about providing compassionate care to patients and helping pet owners feel confident in the care their animals receive. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, camping, exploring new places, spending time with his dog and two cats, and being with his friends and chosen family.
